Corten is a very popular steel due to the materials rustic and aesthetically pleasing appearance. It is a weather resistant steel which reacts to natural elements in the atmosphere and forms its own protective layer of rust. This layer continues to replenish itself over time and therefore the steel does not usually require any form of external treatment.
The steel is used in a variety of applications, both structural and cosmetic, including bridge construction, structural framework and building facias.
